The Estate
A working farm before it is a brand
Motra sits in the tropical lowlands of Đồng Nai, in South Vietnam, where warm, humid air and mineral-rich groundwater have long favoured the plants we grow. Our fields carry five-vein Niaouli and tea tree stands, Fang Ji root, chilli, papaya, passion fruit and pumpkin, and a young grove of banana grown specifically for its unripe, starch-rich fruit.
We fertilise with organic liquid feed made on the estate, irrigate from our own protected groundwater, and keep chemical inputs out of the fields entirely — because an extract can only be as clean as the plant it came from.
What leaves our gate is sold two ways: in bulk, to formulators building cosmetic, wellness and food products in Vietnam and abroad, and in finished retail bottles, for households who prefer to know the farm behind the label.

A Letter From the Founder
Before Motra, I spent years building sustainability strategy for one of Vietnam's largest conglomerates — work that taught me how much good intention can be lost in scale, and how rarely a supply chain still knows the ground it started on.
I started Motra because I wanted to go the other way: small enough to keep a hand on every hectare, transparent enough that a buyer in Paris or Portland can trace a batch back to the field it was grown in. We lean on semi-technical methods — solar-assisted distillation, measured irrigation — for the work that benefits from precision, and we keep traditional, hands-on labour for the arduous work that a community still does better than a machine. Both matter to how we think about social upliftment here: technology in service of people, not instead of them.
We believe natural, well-verified botanicals deserve a first, serious look in daily wellbeing routines — alongside, never instead of, proper medical care. That belief shapes everything we grow and how carefully we test it before it ever leaves the estate.

Distillation and extraction runs are monitored for temperature and timing consistency, drawing on local grid power supplemented with solar, so batches stay stable without heavy chemical intervention.
